Why we like it for families

  • THE PEOPLE. Family owned and operated, you are sure to see the Fielden family on-site during your stay at True Blue Resort. You’ll also be made to feel like a VIP by the friendly service and attentive staff. The staff go out their way to greet the children by name, and it truly feels like a home away from home. A concierge service provides a bespoke vacation plan upon request, whether you’re looking for an in-house experience, or want to explore further afield.
  • THE ETHOS. If you’ve read our Grenada EcoTourism guide, you’ll know this island is a hive of sustainable tourism options. True Blue Bay Resort is at the heart of it. For a hands-on volunteering experience the concierge can plan a trip to the local community library or farm where little hands are more than welcome. Top it off with a visit to the on-site Truebluetique store selling a range of local gifts & crafts, and you’ll leave knowing you’ve shown your kids the real side of Grenada.
  • THE GROUNDS. True Blue Bay Resort is a waterfront property, with rooms sprinkled on the hillside, painted in vibrant Caribbean colors of orange, green & blue. With quirky decoration, lush green spaces and beautiful pool and ocean views, there is no lack of opportunity for the perfect family photo. Kids will be delighted by the family of turtles living in front of reception and the fruit trees ripe for picking around the property.
  • THE AMENITIES. True Blue Bay Resort is bright and lively, with many organised activities for the whole family to enjoy. The resort takes advantage of the space, with Grenada’s first escape room, two playparks for children, a trampoline and waterslide, as well as four swimming pools located throughout the resort. You can also find a chocolate bakery on site for all your vacation treats, ethically sourced and produced using cocoa from Grenada. Boasting free water sports for all guests, you and your kids will never get bored at True Blue.

Location and Activities

True Blue is just 5 minutes away from Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport and located at True Blue harbour where boats can dock directly at the resort.

For easy beach access, the resort-owned electric bus makes daily trips to both the infamous Grand Anse beach and less busy BBC beach.

On-site you can find Grenada’s first escape room, perfect for groups and older kids. Solve puzzles, find clues and keys to unlock doors and escape!

The resort can arrange car rental to explore Grenada’s beaches, towns, restaurants and rainforest.

  • The Dodgy dock restaurant provides oceanfront alfresco dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition to the regular menu on offer, you can experience different themed evenings several times a week with live entertainment.
  • The on-site PADI certified dive shop offers a wide option of daily snorkel and scuba-dive trips, departing from the resorts own dock, so you and the kids can explore Grenada’s vast marine life.
  • The Sankalpa treetop yoga studio is an open-air escape from reality. With different yoga classes on offer daily, as well as special yoga retreats organized throughout the year, True Blue gives mom and dad the chance to unwind while the kids run around.
  • We love that the rooms are all finished with specially-commissioned and ethically sourced furniture and artworks, creating a warm and welcoming environment and reminding you to connect with the island during your stay.
  • If wellness is your priority, make an appointment at the blissful Blue Haven Spa with a vast selection of massages, facials & soaks. They offer solo appointments and special treats for couples.
  • True Blue Bay Resort has an impressive four pools. – the crowd-pleaser is the beach infinity pool overlooking the bay. With a soft, sandy shore, the kids can play safely while adults watch from the nearby bamboo lined bar. Another top choice, and best for photos, is the Cocoa Pod pool, with the colorful Grenada sign and Baja ledge. Nestled within the resort you can also find the Lap pool for those serious about swimming, or the Bayview pool for those looking for a quiet escape.
  • It’s important to know that True Blue is a bayfront property not a beachfront resort. That said, the resort offers daily transportation (in an eclectic bus your kids will love) to two of Grenada’s top beaches, each less than 15 minutes away.

Traveler Reviews

Delightful medium sized resort with fantastic scuba diving operation on site. Our suite had two outdoor decks overlooking a small pool making it quite private. Comfortable furnishings, great air conditioning, lots of outdoor dining space with fun “theme”dinners with love music. Easy driving to other restaurants and very close to airport but quiet and on a small bay. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend for a diving vacation or for people visiting St. George’s University which is just on the other side of the small bay.

From the time I landed in the Airport, I was taken care of. Communication here is by far the best: efficient, timely, professional. The staff are kind and well kept. I love how this is a Family Fun Environment for everyone even the kids, babies and pets. There are cultural aspects of which to take in as well as the LIVE Music, Street Food and Shoppes. I spent New Years Eve night listening to some of the best Soca Local Artists on island, Fireworks and Vibes that go one well into the Night. Breakfast and Dinner portions are generous here so you’ll never go hungry + all of your transportation and excursion needs can be arranged through concierge. Perfect for Solo Trips, Honeymoon for Lovers and the Whole Family.
