Anguilla With Kids

Anguilla is a small, serene Caribbean island known for its stunning beaches, turquoise waters, and low-key atmosphere. The island’s soft, white-sand beaches are her main attraction, including Meads Bay and Shoal Bay, often ranked among the best in the world.

Given the island’s small size, we’re continually impressed by the quality and number of luxury resorts for families in Anguilla. When it comes to where to stay in Anguilla with kids, you’re spoiled for choice. With a focus on boutique hotels, private villas, and luxury resorts, Anguilla offers a more refined, relaxed experience than its bustling neighbors.

For families, Anguilla provides a mix of easy beach days and opportunities to explore the island’s culinary scene, which includes everything from beachfront shacks to gourmet dining. Parents will love the calm, clear waters perfect for young kids to wade in, while older children can try snorkeling, paddleboarding, or boat trips to nearby cays. Anguilla doesn’t have cruise ships, casinos, or high-rise hotels, keeping the vibe peaceful and family-friendly.

Mango Tree Memory

My first “trip” to Anguilla was through the pages of A Trip to the Beach, a book that lets you wander through the quirks and warmth of the island as a couple builds a life and a restaurant there. The island – and their restaurant Blanchards on Meads Bay Beach – has been calling me ever since.

The idea of strolling Anguilla’s pristine, uncrowded beaches and discovering those tucked-away luxury hotels (with zero cruise ship buzz!) makes me more eager each day to see it in person. Until then, I’ll keep sharing my best-kept tips from hours of research and day-dreaming to guide families to this little piece of paradise.

– Lee, Founder of Mango Tree Travel

Rave Reviews

I have nothing but great things to say about Lee and Mango Tree Travel. Last year, I was looking for something different than the typical Mexico resort vacation for spring break with my family. I couldn’t find anyone local to help. I googled “family carribean travel” and immediately found Lee’s blog and company. I reached out to her. We set up a call to talk about preferences and goals for our vacation. . . . [Our trip ] was amazing. Period. . . . My biggest takeaway from the trip—Lee took the stress out of the adventure. We can’t wait to plan our next adventure!!
5/5
We found ourselves overwhelmed when trying to plan a somewhat last minute trip. We knew we wanted to go somewhere that was warm and kid friendly. We researched and researched but struggled to commit to a place where we had never been. We stumbled upon Mango Tree when doing a Google search on family friendly destinations. We loved the layout of the website and specific details about what made each destination work for families. We had a call with Lee to discuss options and her experience and expertise made us feel confident enough to immediately book a trip. We are so glad we did. Our first international trip with our four year old is one we will never forget!
