Why we like it for families

  • Family-Friendly Luxury. The Shore Club is a refined, upscale resort—no doubt about it. You can tell just from looking at the photos. Luxurious but not stuffy. The staff is warm and will make clear that kids are allowed here.
  • The Unique Location. Most of the hotels in Providenciales are on Grace Bay Beach—but not The Shore Club. Stay here if you want to be a bit removed from the island’s other main resorts. The Shore Club is the first hotel that opened on Long Bay Beach, on Providenciales’ winward side. While it’s only about a 10-minute drive from the restaurants and hotels of Grace Bay Beach, it will feel like a world away. One nice perk, though: The Shore Club has two sister properties on Grace Bay Beach, the Palms Turks & Caicos and the Sands at Grace Bay (both of which we recommend as great choices for families). It offers a free shuttle to those resorts which are, in turn, walking distance from many dining options,
  • Spacious Rooms. The Shore club has accommodations of all sizes, including junior suites, one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites with full kitchens, and (very-high end) villas. The rooms are decorated in calming hues of white, blue, and tan. Even with little kids, these dreamy rooms will make you relax.
  • The Pools. The Shore Club has multiple swimming pools, each with different features. The main resort pool has stylish cabanas and great shallow shelf areas for young kids. Hanging basket chairs over the water offer an additional level of fun. There’s also an oceanside pool, an adults-only pool, and a lap pool.
  • The kids’ club. We love small hotels with kids’ clubs. The Shore Club has fewer than 150 rooms and suites but the amenities of a larger resort. The complimentary kids’ club welcomes kids ages 4-10, with indoor and outdoor spaces. Programs includes critter safaris on the beach, sand sculpting, scavenger hunts, crafts and games, and cooking.

Location and Activities

The Shore Clube is 19 minutes away from the Providenciales International Airport (PLS). The Shore Club website has great information about resort activities and local excursions.

  • The most unique feature of The Shore Club is its location along the otherwise nearly deserted Long Bay Beach. While dozens of resorts line the infamous Grace Bay Beach on the leeward side of Providenciales. Long Beach Bay — only 10 minutes away on the winward side — feels like another world. The beach has very shallow waters. On calm days, it can be great for little legs to explore. But there’s often a slight wind, so be careful. On the flipside, the wind makes Long Bay Beach a prime spot for wind surfers. Younger kids will love watching them, older kids (and maybe parents) will want to join them.
  • The Shore Club is a luxury choice and the details (and rates) make that clear. The property will dazzle you with it’s splashy pools, calm pastel decor, and service. It’s as nice as any of the top Grace Bay Beach resorts. The rooms have a sophisticated yet understated decor. Relaxed luxury at its finest. We like the free-standing bathtubs, which will make bathtub with the kids after a day in the sun feel like part of the fun.
  • The main pool, called the Colonnade Pool, is great for kids, with shallow platform edges for kids, wicker chairs hanging over the water, and poolside cabanas. The pool allows floats so pack your best one. If you need shade for the kids, get to the pool early, or splurge on a covered cabana.
  • A second kid-friendly pool, the Sea Grapes Pool is down by the beach. Sea Grapes has a swim-up bar, so find your way here with the kids in the afternoon.
  • Your kids will enjoy exploring the pathways between the pools and restaurants that are lined with local plants and flowers, and the pops of color on the otherwise white design.
  • The Shore Club has 4 restaurants and 5 bars, so you’ll have plenty of options. Don’t miss Sui-Ren, the fine-dining sushi grill. It’s open on Friday night from 5-8pm for sushi night, and Saturday and Sunday evenings at 6:30pm with a full menu. Best saved for your date night if possible. Guests receive complimentary breakfast in the courtyard. Almond Tree serves wood-fire pizza and cocktails Wednesday-Sunday nights; Sea Grapes and Colonnade restaurants by the pools are the best for lunch and casual outdoor dining.
  • If you plan to explore beyond the resort — other than a trip to the Shore Club’s sister properties on Grace Bay Beach, you’ll need a car. There is nothing within walking distance of the Shore Club other than the beach.
  • The Jungle Jam kids’ club offers half or full day programming. The Shore Club knows its audience: It encourages parents to spend an hour at the Dune Spa while the kids are otherwise entertained. You can also hit the adults-only pool, lap pool, or fitness center.

Traveler Reviews

This resort was recommended to us by family who stayed there several years ago. We could not have been happier with the recommendation. The location is perfectly quiet and calm because it is away from other large resorts. The design aesthetic was particularly impressive. And despite the size of the resort it provided a nice sense of privacy and exclusivity. The team at The Shore Club did a great job making us feel welcome. The main restaurant, Sei Run, was fantastic! We wished that we had not waited until our last night there to try it.

What a wonderful way to ring in 2022! We spent 9 days at The Shore Club and the service, food, and location were all wonderful! There is so much to do on the property – from the Kids Club to the activities on the beach – that you never really need to go anywhere else! Breakfast was included, and every morning we took advantage of the delicious offerings – great food for us and always something for our five-year-old daughter to enjoy. More importantly, however, the service was fantastic! A couple of mornings when we sat down to breakfast, one of the servers brought my daughter an arrangement of local flowers. She was SO excited and it was such a nice way to start the morning. Ericka at the concierge and Kerry at the front desk were particularly helpful; Jefferey at the beach bar was great too! But overall, everyone was top notch. A few pieces of advice for travelers below:– Colonnade Pool: This is a great place to set up shop for the day, especially with kids. They allow floats and toys, so if you don’t have some of your own, buy one or two at the little gifts shop there. Don’t worry – it never gets wild, but it is fun to see all the kids playing. – Cabanas: If you can get a cabana for the day, it is worth it. Not necessary, since there are shaded areas around the pool that are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but the cabana was really nice. – Beach: Seems obvious, but the beach is wonderful. I could not get over how amazing the water was and how shallow it was so far out. Great for kids that might be new to the beach or nervous about the water!
