The Family-Oriented Vibe. We wouldn’t send kids to every Rosewood property, but Little Dix Bay truly is a family-friendly luxury resort. Between the Rosewood Explorer Kids’ Club (starting at age 3), the full suite of baby gear provided to new parents, and the calm beach and meandering pathways, there will be no doubt from the moment you arrive that kids’ are welcome at Little Dix Bay. This resort nearly perfectly captures the combination of family friendly + luxury.
The Rooms. Anyone considering a stay at Little Dix Bay, or who just wants a little luxury travel inspiration, should do a 360 degree virtual tour of the Treehouse Suite or One-Bedroom Pool Suite. You can imagine your family spreading out in the airy, brightly designed space, and settling into a totally relaxed beach vibe.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay is nestled on the pristine island of Virgin Gorda in the heart of the British Virgin Islands. Most travelers will land at Tortola’s international airport (EIS), and the resort offers a private 20-minute boat transfer for a seamless arrival.

With convenient proximity to the iconic Baths National Park, Spring Bay (a quieter alternative to the Baths), and Gorda Peak National Park, you may want to rent a car to explore at your own speed. The road network on Virgin Gorda is relatively small and easy to navigate, though you’ll need to drive on the left. Alternatively, taxi drivers are readily available at popular tourist areas, the airport, and the ferry dock, and can provide local insights and recommendations to enhance your experience.

Breathtaking ocean views will greet you around every corner, and the pool area is no exception. The main infinity pool is just a stone’s throw from the sandy beach, with a unique design that beautifully winds around natural foliage. If you’re in the mood for some peaceful downtime, the adult-only infinity pool at the spa may prove to be your favorite spot.
The Watersports Office has an array of activity options for kids, from sailing lessons to snorkeling excursions.

The Junior Suites are the entry level rooms for families with young kids, fitting two adults, one rollaway, and a crib. Make sure you know what amenities you’re expecting when booking – only Beach Houses and Villas have TVs (a plus for some!). One child (age 11 and younger) stays free in a room with his or her parents, but there is a rollaway bed fee.
For babies, the Rose Buds program offers amenities to make parents’ lives easier, including Baby monitors, highchairs, cribs, bathtubs, diaper pails, bottle warmers, strollers, and more. Beyond the toddler years, the Kids Club is divided into age groups (3-6 and 7-12) and offers a variety of complimentary programs such as scavenger hunts, crafts, and “pirate parties” on Monday nights, while parents can go to a adult-only cocktail party. The Teen’s Club provides entertainment with foosball, billiards, and ping pong.
The hotel also offers convenient babysitting services (minimum of 24 hours advance notice).
The Pavilion, the main open-air restaurant offering bay views, serves all three meals and features a popular Caribbean buffet on Monday nights. Guests rave about the slow-cooked seafood and local flavors. For a unique farm-to-table experience right by the beach, head to The Reef House, known for its outstanding vegetarian and seafood dishes. And for a romantic evening out (ages 12+), Sugar Mill is the upscale restaurant of choice, serving tapas and Asian-inspired cuisine.
Kids Menus are available at the Beach Grill (beach and poolside service with sandwiches and snacks) for lunch and in the Pavilion for dinner. In-room dining is always an option from 7am – 11pm.

Incredible Stay!! The Little Dix at Virgin Gorda is an incredible resort for families, young or old couples. The beach is absolute clean, the water warm, and overall it provides the most relaxing vacations. The service is superb thought the hotel, and the rooms are modern and remodeled. I highly recommend staying in one of the beach villas as you will have your own seats on the beach few meters from your room. Nice for older people with tired legs. Though the food was overall ok, I think there is room for improvement. Overall, a fantastic resort and we can’t wait to come back!

Amazing experience! What a wonderful place. The resort is immaculate, nothing is out of place the staff is absolutely incredible. They are there to make your stay even better. The rooms are spacious, the beds are more than comfortable. I’ve never been able to sleep on hotel beds and these were amazing. The views are breathtaking and I can’t stress enough how the staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
