Please note that due to its rocky waterfront location, Gallows Point accepts children 6+ only.
You’ll reach Saint John by flying to the Cyril E. King Airport (STT) in St. Thomas. From the airport, you will catch a 35-minute taxi ride to the Red Hook ferry terminal. Ferries depart from Red Hook every hour, and it’s a short 20-minute ride over to St. John. So you’ll have about 60-90 minutes of additional travel time after you touch down in St. Thomas to get to Gallow’s Point Resort.
Gallows Point Resort is conveniently located within walking distance of the St. John ferry, or a short drive up a hill if you’d prefer the resort pick you up.
If you’re an anxious traveler and a catching a ferry on arrival to the islands makes you nervous, consider an island-hop! Stay 2 nights on St. Thomas at Secret Harbor Beach Resort, a Mango Tree Travel preferred hotel, and then take the ferry over to St. John for the duration of your stay.
In short, you’ll have about 60-90 minutes of additional travel time after you touch down in St. Thomas to get to Gallow’s Point Resort.

We are first timers who had a great stay at Gallows Point! We stayed in an oceanfront room (7A), which worked out great. As the most recent previous reviewer noted, there are multiple reasons why this is such a great property. The location is incredibly convenient for all things Cruz Bay – literally a two-minute walk to Beach Bar, etc. The property could not be landscaped any more beautifully – we sat on the patio looking at the beautiful plants while a hummingbird came by each morning and a peacock occasionally came walking past. The services are great – the ability to rent a car on property and the well stocked gift store were very convenient. The pool and surrounding decking are very nice. The snorkeling right off the property was excellent – lots of coral, fish and on my last day was surprised by a large, sleeping nurse shark. So great to hit a beach in the morning, get lunch and then hit the pool/snorkel at Gallows in late afternoon. Finally, the room was nice and comfortable that met all our needs. We will absolutely return!!!

just returned from 6 nights at Gallow’s Point with my family (2 adults 2 kids: 13 and 10) and if only I could get right back on a plane and go back… it was just the most heavenly getaway. We stayed in a “Ocean View Upper” Suite with a stunning view of the water and St. Thomas from the balcony. The room was in lovely shape with modern appliances and finishes. The property is beautiful. The view from the pool deck is unbelievable. The pool is small but very well maintained as is the adjacent hot tub. We were there on President’s Day week, but unlike big chain resorts, it was quiet and peaceful everywhere.
