Why we like it for families

  • The Size and Design. The Park Hyatt Saint Kitts is only 124 rooms – much smaller than your average Hyatt. And it’s designed in a way that makes it feel even smaller, with rooms housed in 3-story buildings spread out around the property. From the moment you arrive at this family friendly resort in Saint Kitts, you’ll notice the architectural details that are at once soothing, and also reflect of Saint Kitts’ history.
  • The Location. Saint Kitts and Nevis is unique for being a dual island nation, with each having a totally distinct vibe. The Park Hyatt’s location on the southern tip of Saint Kitts – as close to Nevis as you can get – makes it a prime spot for exploring both islands. Not only that, but some of the best beach bars in Saint Kitts are within a 10-15 minute drive of the Park Hyatt too. It’s exactly where you want to be on Saint Kitts.
  • The Kids’ Club. This kids’ club at the Park Hyatt is super cool. It’s a standout feature of this family-friendly St Kitts resort, a kids’ club liked even by kids who don’t typically enjoy them. It has a big outdoor space complete with slides and a climbing wall, warm staff, and lots of activities. This set up alone is reason enough to stay at the Park Hyatt Saint Kitts with kids.
  • The Awesome Pool. The family pool has a gradual slope entry little kids will love, and an expansive swimming area for older kids. You’ll never be far from the pool bar at this luxury family resort in Saint Kitts, and can hear waterfalls from the private cabanas in the background. But the best part is the unwavering view of Mt Nevis across the way, which has a grounding effect. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable pool for splashing and relaxing.

Park Hyatt Saint Kitts offers Mango Tree guests VIP amenities including: Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability; $100 resort credit; Early Check-In / Late Check-Out, subject to availability; Complimentary Wi-Fi. Let’s get you VIP’d!

Location and Activities

The Park Hyatt sits on Saint Kitts’ southernmost peninsula, a world onto itself. The 20 minute drive from the St Kitts Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport to the property is one of Saint Kitts’ most scenic drives. It takes you over the Timothy Hill Overlook and through one of the most beautiful parts of the island.

With stunning views of the Nevis Peak volcano across the water and lush tropical landscapes, it provides a picturesque backdrop for a family vacation. The location is fantastic for visiting both Saint Kitts and Nevis, as Nevis can be reached from the Park Hyatt with just an 8 minute water taxi ride.

  • The layout of the Park Hyatt St. Kitts is designed to blend seamlessly with the stunning natural surroundings. The intentional design will help you relax the moment you step through the open-air lobby.
  • Your eye will be drawn to the low-rise architecture of this luxury family resort, and the colonial Caribbean touches. This design choice ensures that the buildings do not obstruct the stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and the Nevis Peak volcano. The low-profile structures maintain a sense of openness.
  • The rooms are housed in three story buildings strategically spread around the property. The beachside rooms and family-friendly suites are on the ground floor, giving you easy access to the pools. On the second floor, you’ll find the ocean view rooms. And on the top floor, you’ll find penthouse and rooftop suites, many with private plunge pools. Large glass windows and sparse modern décor draw your eye to the ocean at all times.
  • One thing worth noting: The Park Hyatt Saint Kitts prioritizes families in many ways, but the room choices for families can feel limiting, as the one-bedroom suite options do not have pull-out sofas in the living room, and there are no two bedroom suites. As flagged below, your best options with kids are to share a room with two queen beds, or to splurge on a rooftop suite and add rollaway beds to the living room.
  • When you’re not exploring the twin islands of Saint Kitts and Nevis with kids, you’ll spend most of your time by the pool and beach, with the view of Mt Nevis always floating in the background. The huge main pool at this luxur resort has a sloping entrance and a great pool bar. Above the private cabanas, you’ll find the serene adults-only pool, which also has incredible views.
  • Down at the beach, take advantage of watersports like flyboarding, jet skis, snorkel adventures, and glass bottom kayaks. Snorkel and boat charters are available, and the concierge can arrange any island activities that strike your fancy.
  • This family friendly Saint Kitts resort offers several dining options. Enjoy your breakfast each day, and many dinners, at the peaceful “Great House” which offers picturesque views of the Caribbean Sea. Fisherman’s Village, on the other side of the property, is an open-air bar with a casual vibe and sweeping views of Nevis. And “Stone Barn” is an upscale steakhouse with a farm-to-table concept, located amid the resort’s organic garden. You can also enjoy food at the pool bar, and in your room. And don’t miss the rum bar in the Great House!
  • As flagged above, Park Hyatt’s Sugar Mill Kids Club will be a real appeal for so many families visiting Saint Kitts. It has tons of outdoor space, including a slide and climbing wall, lots of shade, and warm and welcoming staff. There’s also lots of regular kids’ programming, with daily complimentary offerings that include things like tie dye classes, jewelry making, and other arts and crafts activities. The kids will have fun while mom and dad get a real break.
  • The Miraval Spa is a tranquil oasis, truly a centerpiece of this family-friendly resort. Take advance of the kids’ club to enjoy the spa treatments and relaxation spaces; you’ll want to spend some time here.

Traveler Reviews

I never write reviews but I feel moved to write this one. We travel with our kids (6 and 8 year old girls) everywhere but have never felt as special as at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts. We are generally low-key travelers who don’t make a ton of small talk, but every single person we encountered here was so warm and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where they not only remember your name, they remember how you like your water and what you ordered for dinner 2 nights ago. It could be because it was the slow season and we were just showered with attention, but the staff just really went out of their way to make it a magical stay…

A Stay to Remember at Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour Wow, what a stay! From the moment we arrived at Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour, we knew we were in for something special. The staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and quickly got us checked in.Our room was stunning, with a view that made it hard to leave the balcony. But leave we did, because the pool was too inviting to resist. We spent a lazy afternoon there, and the staff even brought around complimentary frozen fruit skewers—a small touch, but so refreshing! Dining was another highlight. We had dinner at the Fisherman’s Village, and the seafood was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed, and it felt like dining in a friend’s upscale beach house. The real standout, though, was the staff. Everyone—from housekeeping to the concierge—went out of their way to make our stay memorable. They gave us insider tips on the best local spots to visit and genuinely seemed to care about how we were enjoying our time.
