Why we like it for families

  • The staff: “STELLAR service,” “extraordinarily responsive and friendly,” and “AMAZING” hospitality headline reviews of this property. Guests routinely report that every staff touchpoint is accommodating and they generally try to go above and beyond. Several of the suites also come with a butler to provide even more personalized attention. It’s the service – and the large suites – that make this upscale all-inclusive resort in St Lucia stand out above the rest.
  • The Family Amenities: There are four pools thoughtfully arranged around the property. One of those pools is the serpentine “Kids Wiggly Pool” which is great for little splashers. And in what is clearly a nod to families travelling with early risers, they open at 6AM! What’s worse on vacation than having a tiny human alarm clock chime at sunrise, only to be stuck trying to explain that pools are off-limits for several hours. There is also a kids club (ages 4-11), private beach, spa, spacious gym, house marina, and 4 restaurants, all of which get high marks for quality and service. You will have everything you need on-site – a truly all-inclusive Saint Lucia family resort.
  • The Flexibility: That all said, if you are in St. Lucia, we highly recommend that you venture off-site! St. Lucia’s shifting colonial history has a diverse set of influences and vibrant Creole culture. Not to mention the incredible natural beauty for which the island is rightly famous. While The Landings does have an affordable all-inclusive package for families, it is entirely optional. If you’d rather mix it up with local restaurants and some cooking, the hotel can provide you with a personal chef or stock your pantry. For those considering the all-inclusive option, note that it may be more expensive than order a la carte, but you won’t have to think about the prices while you’re there.
  • The Spacious Suites: With one, two, and three-bedroom options, the spacious suites and family rooms at the Landings Resort & Spa can accommodate families of just about any size. Large sitting and dining areas, balconies with spectacular views (and optional plunge pools), and comfortable furniture will make it easy for the whole family – mom and dad included – to truly relax.

Location and Activities

Getting to The Landings Resort and Spa takes just over 90 minutes from Saint Lucia’s main international airport, Hewanorra International Airport. Helicopter and boat transfers are available for those so inclined.

90 minutes may seem like a long drive – and it can be a bit twisty and turny – but your route will include incredible views of what many believe is the Caribbean’s most stunning island. Your driver can point out spots to return to for future adventures

  • The 90 minute drive from the airport to The Landings Saint Lucia will spark your vacation spirit, as you’ll take in the epic beauty of Saint Lucia along the way. Once you arrive, check in to this lovely all-inclusive St Lucia family resort in its cavernous, marble-tiled atrium. Sandstone columns, elegant staircases, and local artwork reinforce a sense of luxury and attention to detail.
  • Assuming your room includes butler service (many do), you will start with a brief tour of the property before you’re escorted to your room. The Landings has a total of 85 suites – ranging from one to three bedrooms – spread across a handful of interconnected buildings. The suites are so huge they are more like apartments, giving you an actual home away from home.
  • Each suite has a expansive private terrace, many with outdoor dining areas, offering a view of either the marina or the beach. The inside of the family suites are furnished with premium linens, ensuite marble bathrooms, full kitchens, and spacious living and dining areas. Private plunge pools are available too, so you may never want to leave.
  • We’ve already mentioned the four pools, but don’t overlook the beach too! The Landings Hotel and Spa sits on Pigeon Island Beach, with stunning views and soft white sand. The setting gives kids tons of space to run around, always in site of mom and dad.
  • The Landings St Lucia offers four dining options: The Palms is the flagship restaurant – think white tablecloths and multiple courses in an open-air setting overlooking the marina. It features a rotating menu with seasonal lobster specials. The Beach Club offers a more casual setting just off the water with a menu inspired by Caribbean, Mediterranean and Asian cuisine and frequent themed nights. The Callaloo Beach Bar is a crowd-pleaser, offering cocktails, sandwiches, and local specialties right on the beach. And of course, there is a coffee shop right by the lobby
  • Another great thing about The Landings Resort and Spa: they take special requests, so if you’ve got cravings that are not on the menu, their chef may make it for you. The food flexibility certainly differentiates The Landings from your average all-inclusive Saint Lucia family resort.
  • The Kids Club is available for kids from age 4-11, and run by the somewhat infamous Program Director Catherina Andrew (“Aunt Cathy”). Babysitting services are also available.
  • While the kids enjoy the Kids Club, mom and dad should take advantage of the 7,000-square-foot Soleil Spa.
  • The Landings central location near Rodney Bay makes it easy for families to get out and see the island. The nearby town of Gros Islet has a Friday Night Street Party with live music, drinks, and local fish prepared a dozen different ways. Castries, St. Lucia’s capital city, offers a local market plus the lively and beautiful Reduit beach. No trip to St. Lucia would be complete with a (challenging, but manageable) hike up the famous Piton mountains. The Landings can organize activities like zipline, island tours, hiking, golf, tennis, and water sports.

A SPECTACULAR Vacation at The Landings St. Lucia Resort and Spa My sister and I visited for 4 nights to celebrate our birthday. This was our first time visiting this wonderful country and I must say that I have never felt so comfortable and invited at a hotel!! We hit a delay with our room when checking in but were met with tasty refreshing drinks and had an opportunity to look at the property. The grounds were very well kept and the suites were very clean as well. The hospitality was AMAZING. From our butler, Para, to a waitress named Joanna to the amazing bartenders and housekeepers, we were treated like royalty! I hate to namedrop (as everyone was truly kind and amazing) but we were especially made to feel special by Para (I’m talking surprise bubble baths, birthday cake, wine, etc.). She’s absolutely unforgettable! I am very grateful that Joanna suggested and made sure that we received our special request birthday dinner (curry shrimp) Everyone’s efforts not only made us want to visit St. Lucia again but stay at this EXACT hotel. I will forever be grateful for the kind people, wonderful experiences, and the beautiful views!

Great Resort I was fortunate to visit the landing Resort and Spa (Rodney Bay) for the first time in 2007 and visiting every year since. It is absolutely amazing!! It’s a beautiful family resort that offers a wide variety of activities for children of different ages. Since my first visit I have spent many of my vacations at this location and loved every minute of it. The service is great, and all the staff are very helpful. When visiting, I notice the departing Guests are smiling, happy, tanned and rested, always looking forward to the next stay. I have been Sailing the Caribbean Islands since 1973. All the way from Bahamas to St. Lucia and south through the glorious grenadines to Grenada but I am always coming back here. I highly recommend this resort.
